The Floed-Lane House is a house museum that has been known by a lot of names including:
The Douglas County Pioneer Museum (It was known by this name.)
The Lane House (the name we hear most used today)
The J. Creed Floed Home (we occasionally hear this and it is correct that J. C. Floed & his wife, Emily Lane owned the home.)
The Douglas County Museum (we are often mixed up with the museum that resides on the Douglas County fairgrounds. Visit them too!)
No matter, which name you know the place by we welcome you to come and explore the unique mixture of pioneer relics from Douglas County’s past.
We are open on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00pm until 4pm.
